Jenner Divorce

After 23-years of marriage, and almost a year of legal separation, Kris Jenner has filed for divorce from soon to be ex-spouse, Bruce Jenner.

Divorce and Child Custody

Though the two were separated for a year, they were were still very much in each other’s lives. Kris, 58, filed for the divorce on September 22nd, in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences. Kris and Bruce, 64, have two children together – Kendall, 18, and Kylie, 17. They will seek joint custody of Kylie, the only minor child.

Separation

The couple started dating in 1991. While they first announced their separation Oct. 8, 2013, the court documents cite they separated earlier – in June.

Family is Number 1 Priority

“We are living separately and we are much happier this way,” the couple said in a statement last year. “But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends, and as always, our family will remain our No. 1 priority.”

Since the announcement of the separation, Bruce has remained involved in the family. He’s also regularly seen on the family’s show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” The couples split was incorporated into the story line and followed Bruce when he moved to a house in Malibu, while Kris remained in the Calabasas house. Even as the two move into their divorce, they hope to remain friends. In a tweet posted in April, at the time of the couple’s anniversary, Kris called Bruce “one of the most amazing men I know.”
