Dempsey Divorce

Patrick Dempsey’s wife of fifteen years has filed for divorce.

Divorce – Irreconcilable Differences

According to court documents, the Grey’s Anatomy star’s wife, Jillian Fink, was first to file for divorce on January 21. She is citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their dissolution of marriage, as well as seeking spousal support and joint custody of their three kids. The couple share 12 year old Tallulah Fyfe, and 7-year-old twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen. Fink is also requesting that Dempsey pay her attorney fees. She is being represented by celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser.

No Prenuptial Agreement

The two did not sign a prenuptial agreement. Fink has requested that certain items be listed as separate property, including: miscellaneous jewelry and other personal effects. She has requested that Dempsey’s earnings and accumulations from and after the date of separation be listed as separate property, as well as additional separate property assets.

Joint Statement

The couple released a joint statement on January 23: “It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the well being of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family’s privacy at this very sensitive time.”

Dempsey was spotted still wearing his wedding ring days after on Jan. 25 at the IMSA 24-hour auto race at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Fla.
